In the text there is mentioned an issue of Polish academic psychology development in the context of its cultural- historical roots. The problem of constructing Polish psychological terms in basis of concepts coming out from the Slavic folk culture was taken under analysis. The importance of creating indigenous psychologies for the local communities description validity was indicated. The authors reflect on the Slavic identity of Polish academic psychology existence and the need of building this identity.
