Mass culture has been a subject of discussion and debate for many years. Analysis of its effects by Theodore W. Adorno are most critical for the whole of modernity, aiming – in his opinion – to the specifi c cultural and social self-destruction. Unifi cation of cultural needs, lowering the level of entertainment, infantile art and its collapse are symptoms that herald the collapse of rationality and social decline.
