The article contains a description of four studies in which the research problems were inspired by the theories of cognitive maps. The repeated analysis of those research brought new information and interpretations of the data and significantly expanded the theoretical perspective of the issue of cognitive maps. The aforementioned research confirms the importance of searching for integration of cognitive map theory.
