The article is a review paper on the contemporary psychology of moral judgments and on the research areas emerging from it, which the authors divide into five lines: a) What did the perpetrator do and what are the consequences?; b) Who is the perpetrator? What are his intentions, emotions and views?; c) Who is the victim?; d) Who is the judge?; e) What is the situation here and now? These lines are related to factors influencing our moral judgements. The authors provide examples of research results for each of them and present some general conclusions. At the end of the article, they describe the methodological limitations of the research conducted in this area.
